Skiptastic — Skip hire software, made simple.
Give Every Driver One Clear Run
Give drivers one clear place for today's run, site details, access notes and job actions. Updates return to the office against the right job, without giving drivers access to the full admin system.
Install it from the Skiptastic website
On the Android phone, open the company Skiptastic Driver App link sent by the office. It chooses the correct company automatically, then shows an Install button or clear Chrome instructions.
On an iPhone or iPad, open the same secure company link in Safari and use Share, then Add to Home Screen. There is no separate Apple App Store app yet.
The app installs securely from the company link and opens from the phone's Home Screen. There is no separate Android installation file, and Skiptastic is not currently claiming a Google Play or Apple App Store listing.
- Correct company already selected
- Android home-screen icon
- Full-screen app display
- No separate installation file
- Clear manual fallback
Hand over the right sign-in details
When the office creates a driver or resets a PIN, one card shows the company app link, company name and new PIN. The office copies or securely shares those details with the driver.
The company app link carries only the public company name used by the app; the private PIN never appears in it. The PIN is not recoverable later because Skiptastic stores it securely rather than saving the readable number. If it is forgotten or exposed, an authorised operator sets a new one and the previous driver session is signed out.
- Named driver hand-off
- Easy-to-share install link
- Company-specific link
- One-time PIN display
- PIN never in URL
- Reset invalidates old access
Start with today's run
The office link fills in the skip company, so the driver enters only their private PIN to see assigned jobs. After sign-in, the company is remembered on that phone. The next job and its current action stay inside the first phone screen, while a compact safety card keeps the daily vehicle check visible and one tap away. Owners and administrators can deactivate a driver's access, but Skiptastic first requires their current jobs and default-vehicle links to be cleared rather than silently moving work.
At the start of the shift, the driver taps Start shift and share location. The app says Finding location while the phone gets its first GPS position and says Location live only after that position reaches the office. If the phone blocks location or cannot get GPS, the screen gives a plain instruction to correct it and try again.
The app shows Start journey first, replaces it with Arrived safely at the next stage, and reveals site-proof and completion controls only after arrival. Owners create or reset driver access under Setup → Drivers, then use the one-time hand-off card for the right person.
- Assigned daily run
- One current progress action
- Delivery, collection and exchange work
- Customer site and access notes
- Skip and vehicle details
Give drivers a familiar company app
The company app link shows the skip operator's trading name and colours before the driver enters a PIN. After sign-in, the app keeps that company name and greets the driver by name.
The confirmed company branding stays with the saved run on that phone. A driver cannot type another company name to see that company's private jobs, profile or records.
Check the physical skip
The job names the assigned physical skip and any exchange replacement. If the operator has stored a barcode or QR label, a supported Android browser can read a photo of that label, or the driver can type the label code. A mismatch is rejected before completion.
Camera label reading varies by phone and browser. Drivers can always fall back to physically checking the painted skip number shown on the job. Label photos are decoded on the device and are not uploaded as job proof.
Keep changes up to date
If dispatch changes the run, the driver receives the latest assignment instead of relying on a printed list from the start of the day. Progress and problems are recorded against the job for the office to see.
Drivers still make the final safety judgement about access, loads, vehicles and road conditions.
Capture useful proof on site
After arrival, drivers can add a timestamped photo, signature or short note when your process requires it. A failed visit stays recorded as a problem rather than being marked complete just to clear the run.
Choose only the evidence your business needs and avoid collecting unnecessary personal information.
Keep working when the signal is poor
The installable web app can keep a recent assigned run available and queue supported updates when the connection drops. Those updates are sent when the driver reconnects.
Phones and networks vary, so test the devices your drivers normally use during the trial.
Record vehicle checks, defects and maintenance
The due card shows checklist progress without hiding the run. Drivers can open it to complete every item, add required defect notes and photographs, then sign and submit against the right driver and vehicle. Hiding an unfinished check keeps the answers on screen for later. Company owners and administrators can tailor the questions, while Skiptastic keeps at least one item shown so the daily check cannot be made impossible to submit. A vehicle in Maintenance, Off road or Retired status cannot start a journey; the office must assign another vehicle or deliberately return it to Active when it is safe.
Office staff can record completed services, MOTs, inspections and repairs with mileage, supplier, reference, cost and next-due details. The latest dated service, MOT or inspection updates the current due reminder, while adding older history later preserves the newer reminder. Date reminders and mileage within 500 miles return the relevant vehicle to the action centre; the Maintenance tab shows the exact reminder. These digital records support the operator's process, but do not replace inspection, maintenance or roadworthiness duties.
- Daily check evidence
- Visible safety-critical defects
- Service and repair history
- Date and mileage reminders

Is Skiptastic Driver App available on Android?
Yes. The operator copies the company app link from Company setup and sends it to the driver. The driver opens it on their Android phone and accepts Chrome's installation offer. If Chrome does not show the offer, use its Install app or Add to Home screen command. It is not currently claimed as a Google Play listing.
Do drivers download a separate Android installation file?
No. Open the company link on the Android phone and install the app through Chrome. Do not download a file claiming to be Skiptastic Driver App from another website.
Can a driver use an iPhone or iPad?
Yes. Open the secure company driver link in Safari and choose Share, then Add to Home Screen. There is no separate Apple App Store app at present.
Can drivers work with poor signal?
The app can keep a recent assigned run available and queue supported updates until the connection returns. Performance still depends on the phone, browser and network.
Can the office see driver location?
Authorised location updates can appear on the office map while the driver is working. They are private and are separate from the recorded location of a skip.
